I have a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota (UMN). I am interested in development policy, macroeconomics, natural resource economics, impact evaluation, and spatial analysis.

I am currently an Economics Senior Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where I work as a regional economist in the Regional Country Department Andean Group, covering Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Previously, I worked as an External Consultant for the World Bank Group and the IDB Research Department, as an Economics Consultant for the IDB's Country Department Andean Group, and as a Research Assistant at the UMN. I have also worked as an Economics Consultant for the IDB's Country Department Central America, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, and the Dominican Republic, as well as with INCAE Business School in Costa Rica and IESA's International Center for Energy and Environment in Venezuela. 

I have taught econometrics, mathematics, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and principles of economics. I have also authored, co-authored, and reviewed multiple studies, mainly focused on Latin American countries.

I hold a B.A. in Economics from the Central University of Venezuela, a Master's degree in Applied Economics from the Andres Bello Catholic University (summa cum laude), a MicroMaster's certificate in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a professional certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Essentials from the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and I hold a U.S. green card under the National Interest Waiver (NIW) category.
